Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 June 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and UnfoldingVPN ("we", "us") and govern your use of our website, apps, and VPN service (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter a contract in your jurisdiction. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password and VPN configuration files confidential and for any activity that takes place under your account. Tell us promptly at support@unfoldingvpn.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
4. Subscription, billing & renewals
- The Service is sold as a recurring subscription billed in advance through PayPal at the price shown at sign-up (currently £1.99 / month unless stated otherwise).
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it.
- You can cancel at any time from your PayPal account or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Prices may change. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
- Taxes (including UK VAT where applicable) are included in the displayed price unless stated otherwise.
5. Refunds & UK cancellation right
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have 14 days from the start of your subscription to cancel for a full refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — except that, by starting to use the VPN within that period, you agree we may begin providing the digital service immediately and you lose the automatic right to a refund for usage already provided. We may still offer a goodwill refund at our discretion; contact support@unfoldingvpn.co.uk.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break the law that applies to you or to the people you contact;
- send spam, phishing, malware, or other malicious traffic;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, network, or account, or to disrupt the Service or any third party;
- share, distribute, or store child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence or terrorism, or material that infringes intellectual-property rights;
- run high-volume scraping, port-scanning, brute-force, or denial-of-service activity against third parties;
- resell, sublicense, or share your account credentials with people outside your household.
Because we do not log VPN traffic, we rely on abuse reports from third parties to enforce this section. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are violating these rules.
7. Service availability
We work hard to keep the Service available and fast, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Servers, locations, and features may change. Scheduled maintenance and outages outside our control (e.g. upstream network failures) may temporarily affect availability.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, our software, brand, and website are owned by UnfoldingVPN or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own lawful use during your subscription. You must not reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute our software except where law expressly allows.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you materially breach these Terms, if your payment fails and is not resolved, or if we reasonably believe continued service would expose us or others to legal risk. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. billing for past use, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Except where required by law, we make no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. A VPN improves your privacy but does not make you anonymous; it does not protect you from malware, phishing, or accounts you sign into yourself.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or a clear notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where they live.
